'I work with discarded and overlooked objects to question how value is assigned.
My practice explores nostalgia, mass-consumerism, and the afterlife of everyday materials - what gets kept, what gets thrown away, and why. I'm interested in the moment objects lose their function, and how they can be seen and valued again.
I collect and reinterpret waste materials, transforming them through painting and crochet. By exaggerating their forms and altering their surfaces, I remove them from their original context and present them as something more intentional and visually significant
Painting allows me to manipulate scale, colour, and surface, while crochet introduces a slow, repetitive, handmade process. This contrast reflects my interest in the tension between care and disposal - between the time it takes to make something and how quickly it can be discarded.
Through my work, I aim to draw attention to the overlooked and encourage a reconsideration of the aesthetic and emotional value of everyday objects.'
